dsh-xp-skin
A Windows XP skin for the DeepSeek Harness Web GUI: XP-style chrome plus a plain-DOM taskbar, injected into the served page.
What it does
- Injects a stylesheet and a script through the host half's
webserver/index-injectrow β no React, no client plugin entry, no build step. - Registers
GET /xp-skin/healthso you can confirm it is live. - Ships as a bundle (
dsh.bundle.patch), so the Web sidebar's Plugins page can enable, disable and remove it.
Install
dsh plugin --profile <profile> add dsh-xp-skin
Built and tested against DSH 0.2.0-rc.2.
It deliberately declares no client half
dsh.client is absent on purpose. Measured on 2026-09-26: adding any client half β even a no-op bundle that registers nothing β emptied the single-occupancy sidebar.brand.mark slot and removed the user's avatar, while other client plugins kept working. The browser-side code is therefore injected from the host half instead, which also keeps this package out of the client plugin composition.
If you use it together with an avatar plugin, note that the slot is single-occupancy: see dsh-agent-avatar's README for the caveat about the shipped brand package.
Preferences
The colour scheme and font choice live in the browser's localStorage under the key xp-skin.pref. That storage is per-origin, so the Web GUI and the Desktop app keep independent preferences.
