Chat Mode for DeepSeek Harness

Adds 聊天模式 / Chat Mode to the Agent-preset roster, next to Standard, PTC, and Creator.

It is a pure conversational agent: the model request it produces contains nothing but your messages.

Install

Requires DeepSeek Harness >=0.2.1-rc.2 <0.3.0.

From the Plugins page, install the package @poder/dsh-chat-mode by name. Or, from a Harness session that has the plugin-manager tools:

plugin_manager install_bundle target: "@poder/[email protected]"

If you installed it from a local folder before, remove that bundle first — two bundles declaring the preset id chat cannot both register.

Use

Start a new session and pick 聊天模式 in the mode control, or set it as the default in Settings → Agent preset. Existing sessions keep the mode they started with; create a new session after installing.

Verify

With request-frame-preview (or any frame inspector), send one message in a Chat Mode session. The frame should show an empty system, no tools, and only the message list.

How it works

cordis.patch.yml declares an @deepseek-ai/dsh-agent-preset with three parts:

1. @deepseek-ai/dsh-persona with prefix: "", complete: true, includeRuntimeContext: false — the empty persona becomes the only prompt section, so the rendered system prompt is empty.
2. chat-mode.js shadows the one required context fact, working-directory:current, with an optional empty entry inside the preset's scope.
3. chat-mode.js also returns an empty tool list from the system-prompt/assemble waterfall, because @deepseek-ai/dsh-tools feeds every globally registered tool into every session's request. Only this preset's assemblies are affected; other presets keep their tools.

Notes

• The preset id is chat and its display name is 聊天模式; edit cordis.patch.yml to rename it.
• The plugin relies on Harness contracts that are not public API (working-directory:current, the system-prompt/assemble waterfall, the persona complete flag), which is why engines.dsh pins a range.

给 DeepSeek Harness 增加一个「聊天模式」预设：无系统提示词、无运行时上下文、 无工具定义，请求里只剩对话消息。

安装：在插件页按包名 @poder/dsh-chat-mode 安装，或在会话里执行 plugin_manager install_bundle target: "@poder/[email protected]"。如果之前装过本地 目录版本，请先卸载，否则两个 bundle 会同时声明预设 id chat。

使用：新开会话，在模式选择里选「聊天模式」；或在 设置 → Agent preset 里设为默认。 安装前已存在的会话不会改变。
