A community plugin, derived from @michengai/dsh-archive-manager (Apache-2.0), hardened into a session enhancement toolkit, and extended with the message-editing engine from dsh-message-edit (MIT): every action is a real filesystem operation, every deletion is verifiable, every record in ~/storages/*.json is guaranteed to match the physical session files on disk, and every conversation edit is a reversible branch.

📋	Copy session ID	One click on Copy ID in the sidebar session menu puts the conversation's session id on your clipboard — handy for sharing, debugging, and reconciling transcript directories.
⚙️	Settings upgrade	The Settings entry is now 对话增强 (Conversation Enhance) with two tabs: 基础设置 — set the .dsh home directory (default ~/.dsh) and toggle 对话通知 (conversation notifications, default on) — and 归档管理 (the existing archive manager).
🔔	Conversation notifications	When a background conversation finishes or needs your action (approval / question / plan review) and you are not focused on it, a simple system notification pops up — gated by the 对话通知 toggle in 基础设置.

• A working DeepSeek Harness Web installation (dsh on PATH, web profile initialized)

dsh plugin add runs pnpm add and automatically appends packages that declare dsh.bundle.patch to the profile's dsh.profile.bundles.

Verify — --dump-config should list four service rows: workspace-dsh-session-enhance, session-projection-cache-dsh-session-enhance, message-edit-dsh-session-enhance, ui-workspace-dsh-session-enhance

Restart DSH Web and hard-refresh the browser (Ctrl+F5). The 对话增强 entry appears in Settings, right after Connectors, with a dedicated archive-box icon; it holds the 基础设置 (.dsh home + notification toggle) and 归档管理 tabs. The Timeline tab appears in every conversation, right after Trajectory.

⚠️ Registry notes for source installs

This repository pins every @deepseek-ai/* peer exactly (0.1.1-rc.2, matching the current host) and ships a project-level .npmrc pointing at the official registry, plus a pnpm.overrides entry forcing @deepseek-ai/dsh-invariants → 0.1.1-rc.2.

Why? Range resolution can pull newer release candidates whose transitive dependencies reference a nonexistent dsh-invariants@^0.1.1 (unsatisfiable on any registry), and the npmmirror mirror's prerelease metadata for @deepseek-ai/* is stale. If pnpm install fails on @deepseek-ai packages, run it again with --registry=https://registry.npmjs.org/.

🎮 Usage

1. Archive — sidebar session menu → Archive session.
2. Manage — Settings → 对话增强 → 归档管理: search, sort (updated / created / alphabetical), filter by project, restore, delete (always confirmed).
3. Sync records — hit 同步记录 after manually touching files or storages/*.json: ghosts are purged, wrong workspace memberships are fixed, missing accounting is restored, and the header index is rebuilt. A summary toast reports scanned / added / removed.
4. Move by drag & drop — drag a session row onto another workspace group header (or a session row inside another group), or onto 未分组 to detach it from all workspaces:
   • The transcript directory is physically relocated and the artifact header's cwd is rewritten; the change lands in ~/storages/workspace.json.
   • Dragging to ungrouped keeps files in place (there is no target path).
   • A running session is flushed and detached first (write path and file handles released); the stale agent bound to the detached session is disposed too, so the next prompt resumes a fresh agent at the new cwd (otherwise messages would be appended to the detached session object and silently lost). Reopen it afterwards.
   • The projection-cache record (session_projcache.json) is rehomed to the new cwd right after the move, so the session's title and stats keep serving from the sidebar (no stale workspace-name fallback until reopen); syncRecords repairs any previously moved sessions with stale identities.
   • The sidebar re-pulls the session baseline after a successful move, so a live-moved session reappears in its new workspace immediately instead of waiting for a page refresh.
   • If the currently open session is moved: the base client marks that session's resident instance as removed (input bar shows "Session unavailable" and the flag never resets before a page refresh). The plugin automatically reopens the moved session and clears that flag afterwards — including a 2-second window that catches a late-arriving host/session-removed frame — so the input bar becomes usable again right away and the conversation can continue.
   • Opposite-encoding artifacts carried into the moved directory (e.g. a plaintext session.jsonl written by another dsh instance sharing ~/.dsh/sessions with a different backend encoding) are removed after the move; the strict reader would otherwise reject the session and 500 every session.list. syncRecords also cleans these up and reports the removed paths.
   • Same-group drags keep the original reorder behavior.
5. Delete — per-session / per-project / delete-all, always confirmed: flush → detach → bookkeeping cleanup → projection-cache row removal → SUBAGENT cascade → spill cleanup → transcript dir removal (retried) → storages JSON sweep → disk verification
6. Edit messages — open a conversation, switch to the Timeline view:
   • Edit — click a user or assistant text block and replace it; choose truncate (drop everything after the edited turn) or preserve (re-queue downstream user messages).
   • Retry — re-run a turn with its original user input.
   • Reroll — regenerate the newest assistant reply (truncate).
   • Every operation opens a version branch; the Timeline lists all versions with parent links, an undo stack, and redo targets. Deleting a derived branch (via this plugin's delete) never breaks the parent's timeline.
7. Basic settings — Settings → 对话增强 → 基础设置: set the .dsh home directory (the plugin locates storages from it; default ~/.dsh) and toggle 对话通知 (conversation notifications, default on). When enabled, finishing or needing-action conversations pop a system notification while you are not focused on them.
8. Copy session ID — sidebar session menu → Copy ID: copies the conversation's session id to the clipboard (also available on archived sessions).

🛡 Data safety & integrity

• Deletion always requires confirmation and cannot be undone.
• Live sessions are flushed before any cleanup — no truncated transcripts, no open-handle races.
• Atomic writes everywhere: storages sweeps and artifact header rewrites use tmp + rename; the move verifies the rewritten header and rolls back (original header + directory) on failure.
• Tombstones (FIFO, capped at 4096) block stale list() results from resurrecting deleted sessions; a same-id session rebuilt by another process with a different identity (createdAt/cwd) clears the tombstone via a cold-reuse probe.
• Sync is conservative: sessions whose cwd cannot be resolved are left untouched; projection-cache ghosts are removed without tombstones so a later file restoration can rebuild them.
• Sessions are at most accounted in one workspace (duplicate accounting is defended against); archived state is orthogonal to workspace membership — moving never changes the archive marker.

The client bundle is generated: node scripts/merge-client.mjs inlines the dsh-message-edit browser bundle into lib/client.js (the pristine session-enhance bundle must be restored via git checkout -- lib/client.js before re-merging).

❓ FAQ

Does it ever touch my conversation files? Only when you delete, move, or sync — and every operation is atomic, verified, and logged.

What happens if I drag a session that is currently running? It is flushed and detached first (like deletion), then physically moved; the conversation closes and can be reopened from its new workspace.

Can I undo a move? Yes — drag it back. Moves are not transactional with the registry by design, but they are idempotent and safe to retry.

The gear icon next to my section in Settings? The settings shell maps nav icons by section id and falls back to a gear for unknown ids; this plugin swaps in a proper archive-box glyph at runtime.
